On a sunny Saturday in August, Alison Robinson-Rowe, our Head of Business Development attended a , Wakefield’s one and only all female Roller Derby team.

Alison says ‘Thank you to Gemma for the guided commentary and opportunity to meet some of the team who are raising money for us as their chosen charity for the year. In return I took cake, and sharing cake with both teams after the game was a real buzz – I got to feel part of it without any bruises! It promised to be Fast. Feisty. Full contact. I was not disappointed.’

Watch this space for up and coming Roller Derby FUNdraising events in the Autumn – a pie-minister pie and games on the big screen night at Westgate Studio, October 22nd for the WWC stall at the final Cats game of the season and a pop up shop selling our unwanted glad rags in time for Christmas party season – something for all tastes, shapes and sizes guaranteed!
