Volunteers play an integral and important part both in the management and delivery of all our Well Women Centre services. As an organisation founded and built upon the generous contributions of women supporting other women, we are proud to acknowledge that this tradition continues.

Without the ongoing support of our dedicated team of volunteers, we would not be able to offer our services in the same way. We are always seeking out new volunteers who can support us both with the day-to-day work of the charity and support our continued growth and development.

The Well Women Centre often needs volunteers to help with:

  • Administration Work
  • Fundraising
  • Social Media
  • Counselling (including counselling placements)

We offer all new volunteers in-house training, possible help with relevant external training, and full or partial travel expenses. For volunteer counsellors group
supervision is also available.

Complementary Therapists

We are currently recruiting for complementary therapists:

  • To volunteer and/or set up their private practice at the Well Women Centre.
  • To offer therapies at our Open House social group every Wednesday morning.

Counselling Placements at the Well Women Centre October 2018

We now have a small number of places we wish to fill with new volunteer counsellors; placements are open to both qualified counsellors and those undergoing counselling training.

The spaces open to counsellors at present are regular sessions on:

  • Mondays between 12pm – 8pm
  • Wednesdays between 2pm – 8pm
  • Fridays between 10am – 4pm

The intention is that you will work up to having 3 clients with an hour’s break, volunteering a total of 4 hours per week. If you cannot volunteer at any of the above times then please do not submit an application.

If you are still interested in a placement, please request an application form (even if you have previously submitted one) from: governance@wellwomenwakefield.org.uk
