WWC Volunteer Recruitment: Trustees – Treasurer and HR
The Well Women Centre is a local charity that offers mental health, support and wellbeing services to women and girls in the Wakefield District. We have a long history of enabling women and their families to turn their lives around.
Volunteers play an important role within the centre and we have a diverse, hard-working Board of Trustees who guide and support the Well Women Centre.
We are looking for women of all ages and backgrounds to join our Board of Trustees, there is no need to have previous trustee experience. We are particularly interested in attracting women that are representative of our client group.
We currently have 2 opportunities:
Treasurer
We are looking for someone with skills and experience in accounting and financial management to work with our CEO to oversee the financial affairs of the organisation.
You will be asked to commit to reviewing the pre-prepared management accounts on a monthly basis.
HR experience
We are looking for someone with skills and experience in HR management to work with our CEO to oversee these aspects of the organisation. Well Women Centre has access to an external Health & Safety and HR & Employment Law service to support this function.
Commitment
You will be asked to commit to attending a sub-group and board meetings which take place every six weeks. Out of pocket expenses are paid and training is offered.
